The Library will be hosting two lectures tomorrow March 7th. One will be a Brown Bag lecture at 12:30 pm by Dr. Roya Falahi – Kharaghani about gender and education. She will be covering the impacts of hidden and formal curricula, the experiences of women and men in higher education, and the impact of education attainment and achievement of women and men after graduation. Light refreshments will be served.
The second lecture will be given by Professor Roxanne Munch and is entitled, “Transformation and the Evanescent World of Japanese Theatre and Ukiyo-e Art.” Learn about the connections between Kabuki theatre, the Edo pleasure district, Frank Lloyd Wright, the Art Institute of Chicago, and anime! Lecture will be from 12 noon to 1:30 in Library Room A-2003.
